Hall Puck Jersey Featured on SportsCenter

On Tuesday, April 19, Seton Hall’s very own ice hockey team was featured on ESPN’s SportsCenter.  Hockey analyst John Buccigross sported a blue Hall puck jersey during the Scott Van Pelt show.  Buccigross who is well known for the Buccigross overtime challenge which takes place on Twitter during any NHL game that goes into overtime.  Buccigross also tweeted a photo of him wearing the jersey as a tribute to Seton Hall’s distinguished alumni, Bob Ley.  The jersey was sent to Buccigross by Seton Hall hockey alumni Ben DiCostanzo.

Although given a shout out by Buccigross on ESPN, the Seton Hall hockey team hopes to make a name for themselves in the Colonial States College Hockey Conference (CSCHC) within the American College Hockey Association (ACHA) next season.  With newly added teams consisting of Rutgers New Brunswick and the University of Scranton, the Pirates are looking forward to new competition within the conference.  Returning to the team will be captain Bryan Nagy and alternate captain Drew Cameron along with top scorers PJ Carfagno and Charlie Mule.  Head coach, Gary Biggs will be returning for his third along with assistant coaches Scott Rothlisberger and Andrew Ferencevych.  The Pirates home opener this upcoming season will take place on Oct. 1 at South Mountain Arena in West Orange.  Follow Seton Hall hockey on Twitter and Instagram @hall_puck for updates throughout the season.
